Communication Situations, Strategies, and Techniques in Crisis Interpreting

The Department of Translation Studies invites you to a workshop titled Communication Situations, Strategies, and Techniques in Crisis Interpreting. The workshop will take place on 20 April in room 084. The event will focus on the coordination of activities associated with outputs for training future public service interpreters. In particular, the outputs focus on communication situations, strategies and approaches used in crisis interpreting. The goals of this workshop are the unifications of terminology and a discussion about the ethical principles and the rules of effective communication with migrants and public institutions. The event will also include discussions, inputs from interpreting practice and the results of a survey on the use of crisis interpreting in Slovakia.
