Summer School of Audiovisual Translation 2021: Translation, Technology and Inclusion
(professional seminar)
The seminar is aimed at translators who would like to become acquainted with chosen aspects of audiovisual translation, at translators beginning their careers or translation and interpreting studies students. Emphasis is placed on practical, formal, and technological aspects of the translator's work when it comes to translation for dubbing, for subtitling and at creating subtitles, creating subtitles for deaf and hard of hearing audiences, and at creation of audio-commentary for visually impaired. The last day of the event is dedicated to teachers and lectors of audiovisual translation regardless of whether they work in an academic or commercial environment.
The seminar consists of two main parts:
- Translation, Technology and Inclusion – Slovak practitioners
- From Translation to Accessibility: EMT Train the Trainer Summer School
In case of interest, it is necessary to register for both parts individually and ahead of time.
