EMT

Master’s study programmes in translation and interpreting FA CPU were awarded an international quality certificate

At the meeting of representatives of the European Master’s in Translation (EMT) Network on September 30, 2011 in Brussels our master’s studies in translation and interpreting were for the first time awarded the international quality certificate by Director General at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Translation Rytis Martikonis and joined the network of European universities with the highest quality translation studies programmes entitled to use the label and logo EMT.

This means that our university joined 81 European universities providing high quality education for students of translation studies. The right to use the label and logo EMT is a sign of high quality and internationally recognised education that we provide, enabling a better integration of our graduates into the international labour market. For the third time (2011, 2014, 2019), we are the only department in Slovakia to have succeeded in the regular evaluation of applications. In the periods of 2011-2014 and 2019-2024 we have also gained membership in the EMT board of the prestigious network. Such assessment of our department and university can be perceived as huge international success.
