Areas of Research

The staff of the Department of Translation Studies and colleagues from other departments involved in teaching Translation Studies follow in their research activities the rich traditions of theoretical research in this field dating back to the 1970s and 1980s. At that time, it was led by the outstanding figure in Slovak translation theory professor Anton Popovič at the Institute of Literary Communication of the former Faculty of Education in Nitra.

  • accessibility of media and inclusion in communication,
  • translation and interpreting in public service.
