Profil:

Mgr. Jakub Absolon, PhD. is a director and co-owner of translation company ASAP-translation.com where he follows the latest world trends in the translation industry and applies them to the day-to-day operation of ASAP-translation.com.  He has worked as a translator and interpreter for Slovakia’s Prison and Court Guard Service, especially in communications with the Council of Europe, and is author of several publications.  In 2006, he initiated the founding of the Association of Translation Companies of Slovakia (ATCSK), serving two terms as president in 2007–09 and 2013–15.
He also works as a CAT tool trainer and is a guest lecturer at Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, where he teaches STN EN 15038 and managing translation risk. On occasions, he has lectured at various events inside and outside Slovakia. He also publishes for www.ProTranslator.eu, a web portal for translators.
